The harvest progressed\nwell past week. The favorable climate, with the exception of Matas de Minas\nregion, favored once again the progress of the coffee harvest and drying. The\nharvest rose by 7% over the previous week. Even so, it remains very late,\nespecially when compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The weekly survey by\nSAFRAS indicates that until June 30 the harvest of the 20\/21 season in Brazil\nreached 48% of the production estimated at 68.10 million 60-kg bags, with 33.01\nmillion bags already reaped. The progress is well below the same period last\nyear, when it was 62% complete, and slightly below the 5-year average of 51% for\nthe period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the case of\narabica, the harvest is at 39%, against 55% at the same time last year and 41% of\nthe 5-year average. The conillon harvest reaches 70% of production.
